Successful return to work following injury requires knowledge of the current abilities of the worker and the requirements of the job. In addition, return to work efforts require coordination and collaboration with the employer, worker, insurer (Workers Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Auto or Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurer), human resources, and union representatives. Continuum therapists work with all interested parties to provide recommendations to facilitate safe return to work and to provide ongoing monitoring and job coaching to ensure the carry-over of recommendations throughout the return to work program.
